Treatment is aimed at providing support to the body and releasing areas of tension to help with a variety of problems, including general muscle aches and pains, for the whole family. The technique is gentle and non invasive, helping to relax the body and mind and to bring about change.
Having worked in a range of multidisciplinary clinics across Kent, Gemma has gained significant experience in the cranial field. She has developed a keen interest in women’s health, including postnatal and perimenopausal women. She completed the Mummy MOT training in November 2019, enabling her to perform postnatal assessments in addition to her Osteopathic treatments.

More recently, Gemma has been involved in a campaign for improving women’s health that saw her attending a Round Table event at Portculis House with MP Rosie Duffield and esteemed individuals in women’s health. She also established an online support and information group called “Women’s Postnatal Health Community” in association with a Twitter Group, Pelvic Uprising.
Gemma also teaches Pilates in line with APPI teaching. This compliments her osteopathic treatments by helping patients to re-educate themselves to move in a more balanced way, improving overall function. She works closely with highly skilled Pilates and movement specialists at the Pilates Studio Whitstable.
Gemma has been involved in running many local events, including “Baby and You Whitstable in 2017”, an informative day for new parents and pregnant women. She also helped to coordinate Whitstable Yoga Festival in 2018, as well as establishing and running The Pilates Studio Whitstable and Whitstable Wellness Centre in 2013. Having been practising locally in Whitstable for 12 years she has created a referral network with other practitioners to ensure that every patient receives the treatment that is appropriate to them. This network includes acupuncturists, massage therapists, allergy specialists, nutritionists, medical herbalists and many others.
Gemma has a family with 2 young children and several pets, including horses, a dog, chickens and tortoises. She enjoys nothing more than being outside in the fresh air, which is lucky with all those pets!

Testimonials
“Gemma is the person I would always recommend for an Osteopathic treatment. She uses extremely gentle techniques that have a powerful effect. She is very knowledgeable and extremely perceptive, so she has found the root of problems that no-one else could quite get to. She has helped me a lot with pelvic health, which has been a significant pain point for me. I know that I can always trust her advice and that her treatments will make me feel better” – S.C
“I was suffering with head tension which transpired from stress and anxiety at work. Even after seeing Gemma for one treatment I could feel the change in my body, as if she had unwound me. Her work is subtle but hugely affective and she has a whole world of knowledge of the body, inside and out. She keeps me in check every now and again, but I can’t thank her enough for relieving me of such discomfort. I won’t go to anyone else.” – C.P
“Gemma has been treating me for 2 years with cranial osteopathy. I suffer with lower back pain and have had spinal surgery twice. Her gentle treatments give excellent results. I can say with confidence that these treatments, combined with regular Pilates run by Gemma or her instructors, keep me strong and pain free.” – E.G
